PRODUCT OVERVIEW

A highly durable and breathable mineral paint with an ultra matt finish. Suitable for a wide range of masonry substrates from lime render to cement, concrete, brick and stone.

Supplied as a powder to be mixed with water at the point of use, Earles Masonry Paint cures to form a strong, permanent, weatherproof bond to any masonry surface.

Earles Masonry Paint is made from a carefully balanced blend of natural minerals and contains no plastics, polymers or solvents.

One 10kg tub will make 14 litres of paint and will cover approximately 25m2 in total using two coats.

Some substrates will require priming with Earles Surface Primer prior to paint application.

See our FAQ’s page for more information and application instructions.

Which surfaces are suitable for Earles Masonry Paint?

Earles Masonry Paint is suitable for application on to all exterior and interior masonry surfaces, including;

  • Lime Renders
  • Cement and Cement Lime Renders
  • Natural Stone
  • Pebbledash
  • Roughcast
  • Cobb
  • Brickwork
  • Cement and Thermalite Blocks
  • Cementitious Boards and Plasterboards.

Where can I use Earles Masonry Paint?

Earles Masonry Paint is a versatile option, so it can be used on a range of projects where the breathability of the surface is a priority including:

  • Listed and Heritage Buildings
  • Solid Wall Construction buildings
  • Cellars and Basements
  • Underground Structures
  • Commercial Premises
  • Factories and Warehouses
  • Garages and Workshops
  • Retaining and Boundary walls
  • Barns and Outbuildings
  • Churches
  • Property Conversions
  • Farm Buildings and Stables

Can Earles Masonry Paint be used on buildings with multiple substrates?

Not all buildings have a uniform exterior – especially older and extended properties with a mix of substrates to deal with.

Earles Masonry Paint’s versatility means that it is able to cope with application to all masonry materials and existing painted surfaces to give one uniform finish to the exterior of your property. Earles Surface primer should be used on surfaces with a low porosity such as glazed bricks or existing polymer based paints for example.

Lime Renders and Mortars

Earles Masonry Paint is fully compatible with application on to lime renders, plasters and mortars

Listed buildings

Earles Masonry Paint is suitable for application on to listed and heritage buildings.

Solid wall construction

Earles Masonry Paint is highly breathable making it ideal for application to buildings with a solid wall construction.

Damp areas

Earles Masonry Paint provides protection in damp conditions, whilst not peeling or flaking.

Use Earles Masonry Paint to combat damp in problem areas such as:

  • Basements
  • Boundary or retaining walls
  • Elevations of a property exposed to harsh weather

Earles Masonry Paint is unique, it cures by hydration and during this process the paint may appear chalky or slightly transparent. The paint will oxidise and cure over 7 days, resulting in a super matt, dust-free finish. After this initial cure the paint will continue to strengthen over time.

Note: After application on mixed substrates such as existing paints some initial colour variation may be visible. This is completely natural and will even out as the paint cures and hydrates. This effect can also be apparent when the paint has been applied to surfaces which have a high moisture content.
