Supplied as a powder which is simply mixed with water at the point of use. Earles Masonry Paint is made from a careful blend of natural minerals with no added polymers or solvents. Tested and found to be as breathable as limewash and one hundred times more breathable than a standard polymer-based masonry paint. Earles Masonry Paint works by forming a protective, weatherproof bond to all masonry surfaces and excels in areas where other polymer-based paints will ultimately fail such as areas exposed to damp or harsh weather conditions.
Earles Masonry Paint can be used on all masonry surfaces including lime-based renders, mortars, plasters, bricks, breeze blocks, cobb and more. Where the substrate has low porosity such as previously painted areas, glazed bricks or pebble dash it is essential to use Earles Surface Primer.

Containing only filtered slaked lime and salt, Traditional Limewash offers exceptional breathability when applied to lime render, lime plaster, earth walls, timber and more. It is naturally bacteria resistant and effective at preventing mould growth, making it ideal for both internal and external surfaces prone to dampness.
Traditional Limewash is compatible with porous substrates such as lime render, lime plaster, earth walls, soft stone and timber. It works extremely well on older properties built of solid wall construction due to its ability to allow moisture to escape.

Either from a colour swatch or from a sample of an existing paint if required. All our paints are matched by eye using only natural pigments. There are some limitations on pigmentation of blue limewashes and also very bright reds due to our use of natural pigments.
